Suchita Tarde
Suchita is a contemporary abstract artist based in Pune, India, with 40+ years of experience creating paintings, sculptures, stained glass, and murals.
Born in 1960, Suchita began with still life painting before her practice evolved into abstract art. Her work has been showcased at renowned galleries including Jehangir Art Gallery Mumbai, Indian Habitat Centre New Delhi, and Goa Kala Academy. She has received recognition including a Medal in Sculpture Competition in Bremen, Germany (1995) and a National Award by Lalit Kala Academy (1996). Her commissioned works include murals for the Indian National Games (1994) and sculptures for the Commonwealth Youth Games (2008).

Statement
"Nature is full of shapes, lines, and colours that reveal their secrets to those who look closely. As I explore vast landscapes, I search for the fleeting moments of light, the formless and the wild, bringing new worlds to life on my canvas. I see myself as a storyteller—the more I observe, the richer my stories become. Art, for me, is a quiet response to the world around me."
